Blueprint offers values-based Life Coaching and Discipleship Coaching services from a Christian world view through BFL Internal Coaches, BFL Affiliate Coaches, and BFL Discipleship Coaches serving individuals, groups, churches, ministries, businesses and other organizations. Clients experience a comprehensive coaching process firmly grounded in Biblical principles from the Blueprint for Life study that focuses on intentional Christian living, strategic life plan development, goal-setting, and being in continuing forward movement towards Christlikeness, effectiveness and fulfillment in the 5 major areas of your life: Spiritual, Relationships, Physical, Financial and Career. Coaching services are available both pre-designed or uniquely tailored to meet your needs.
What is Christian Coaching?
Christian Coaching is a 3-way partnership between God, a Christian Coach and a person who is seeking to grow themselves and their lives to full potential or to get from where they are now to where they would like to be—where God intended them to be. Coaching is a proven and powerful process that routinely produces forward movement. The value of coaching has been impacting the business world for a long time and is now coming into the forefront as having significant impact on individuals’ personal lives as well as the church body. A coach typically works with clients conveniently over the phone, though in person and online coaching are also options. A Christian coach plays several roles in the coaching relationship as a:

What qualifies a person as a professional Christian Coach?
- Coaches from a Biblically sound, Christ-centered, eternal perspective
- Coach training from an industry recognized coach training program
- Continuing coach education and mentoring by a coach with higher credentials
- Follows the professional coaching industry’s standards, ethics and competencies
- Certified or in process of becoming certified (requires specified amount of client coaching hours, accredited training, mentor coaching, and oral and written examinations)
Who are the Blueprint for Life Coaches?
Certified Blueprint for Life Affiliate Coaches
Blueprint’s international network of Certified Blueprint for Life Affiliate Coaches consists of professionally trained coaches also certified through our BFL Institute. All BFL Affiliate Coaches go through a prayerful application and interviewing process as well as BFL certification to ensure that they are a match for our ministry and clients. Our partners have a passion for helping their clients maximize their Blueprint for Life experience to not only make a life plan, but follow it through to bear the fruit that God purposed for them in all areas of life. In addition to coaching skills, they bring to the relationship their successful and challenging life experiences, spiritual gifts and abilities, passions, and prayer support to serve our clients with authenticity, integrity and excellence.
Certified Blueprint for Life Discipleship Coaches
Our Certified Blueprint for Life Discipleship Coaches are individuals who have been trained internally through the BFL Institute in the process of Discipleship with a Life Coaching approach to walk with others as they develop and live out their original life blueprint. Though not formally trained through professional coaching industry institution, Discipleship Coaches are equipped with foundational life coaching skills and professional standards taught by professionally trained coaches within or affiliated with the BFL Institute so that they can work with individual and group clients with a coaching approach. Discipleship Coaches have access to our network of Professional Affiliate Coaches for personal mentor coaching for advanced life coaching skills development as well as support in working with clients if a deeper level of skill is beneficial.
Blueprint for Life Internal Coaches
Blueprint also offers selective internal Christian Coaching services for Blueprint clients and coaches, led by CEO/President Miguel Knuckey, trained through International Life Coach Institute, and Arris Charles, Director of Programs & Operations, trained through Coach U. Each are Certified Blueprint for Life Coach Trainers and has a long history of leading personal and group ministries in the local evangelical church. They are life-long students of leadership and personal and spiritual development who view coaching as a discipleship, stewardship and relationship-enabling process for those who want to take their lives to the next level and beyond, reaching for all God intends for them to become and fulfill.
How are Christian Coaches used in conjunction with Blueprint for Life?
Blueprint for Life provides powerful individual and small group coaching to support you or your church, ministry, organization or business while you go through or as follow-up to this life changing process. By just faithfully and prayerfully going through the Blueprint for Life study on your own or in a group you can experience forward movement in your life. However, even if we are already diligent and disciplined enough to make a plan and begin to take actions, with all of life’s responsibilities, distractions and challenges, sometimes our efforts to move towards a compelling God-sized vision may become stalled or come to an end—whether we’ve lost focus as we get busy with other things, give up hope as we encounter obstacles that seem too hard to overcome, or perhaps fall back into patterns that keep us stuck in the same place. Christian Coaching helps to close the gap between the knowing and doing, what is learned and what gets accomplished, with motivation, goal-setting, problem solving, action planning and accountability to achieve and sustain success.
How do I get started as a client working with a Christian Coach?
If you would like to get started with Blueprint for Life Christian Life Coaching or Discipleship Coaching, contact us at (866)400-0013 or info@blueprintforlife.com. We will set up an exploratory interview with you to understand your goals and needs. If together we decide that you are ready to commit to coaching, then we will begin the process of setting up an initial discovery session followed by a coaching arrangement with an internal or partner coach tailored to meet your individual needs. Individual coaching usually occurs one to four times per month with each session typically 30 to 60 minutes in length. Group coaching may be set up different depending on the combined needs of the group, perhaps less times per month or longer sessions. Email coaching as well as mini spot coaching sessions for support between scheduled sessions are included in this service. As a non-profit ministry with a desire to truly serve, our fees for standard coaching arrangements are based upon a suggested donation and is worked out on a case by case basis customized to meet the needs of each individual, group or organization.
What is the standard coaching arrangement between coaches and clients?
As a coaching client, in additional to making time for scheduled coaching sessions, you should also be ready to commit to yourself to allow God to help you to make room in your life—whether internal to your heart, mind and spirit…or external with your time, energy and resources—to make the necessary personal, spiritual and lifestyle changes to move towards living the life that God intended for you. Your coach will provide encouragement, support and accountability throughout this process.
The standard BFL session arrangement between a coach and individual, “buddy” or group clients is shown below. However, since the coaching relationship is tailored to meet individual needs, an alternative agreement may be co-created between coach and client(s).

How can I become a Certified BFL Discipleship Coach?
Our Discipleship Coaching training program is designed for individuals who are not already trained as professional coaches and want to be able to minister to individuals, groups, churches or other organizations through the Blueprint for Life journey at a deeper level than leading a Bible study or facilitating a group. Ideal candidates for this program have a passion for discipleship and have a heart for helping others find their unique life purpose and develop a life plan to intentionally reach their full God-given potential.
In addition to Discipleship, Communication, Small Group Leading, and other skills, our quality, affordable Certified Blueprint for Life Discipleship Coach Training program through our BFL Institute equips students with the foundational skills of professional life coaching. Though these life coaching skills are based upon the professional competencies set forth by the International Coach Federation (ICF), this training is not an ICF accredited professional life coach training program, and therefore, does not qualify its participants to designate themselves as professional life coaches or to use training as credits towards professional certification.
